Went to the doctor and all I got was ...

... this bag of stuff I really don't want and a couple more prescriptions to add to my repertoire.

Not a happy camper.

Looks like I have some self-educating to do.

Been there still doing that, its a bit of a shock at first but you will get the hang of it, and food wise ... that takes longer to get use to but now its second nature..
You will do just fine !

Sorry to hear that, Bette Jo. My Dad had diabetes and I'm always afraid I will too. So far so good. Nice to hear positive vibes from Diane. Hang in there.

Thanks Ladies. I cried on the way home from the doc's office, and had a little meltdown today. I'm surprised by feeling really bummed and depressed about this.

Gord's son has diabetes. You'll get the hang of it.

Bummer.

But it's better to know and educate yourself and be able to take care of yourself correctly, right? Just a major pain in the butt. My grandfather had diabetes and he managed to live fairly normally. It's do-able. Hang in there!

Traditional Chinese Medicine (acupuncture and herbs)....can help with this imbalance....In the old days the doctor acted Like Marcus Welby and really helped..now a days...it is the acupuncturist who can really help adjust to lifestyles...AND herbs do help to balance sugars.

BJ...there is a a saying..."the definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over"....

Try the alternative side...You most likely will find a caring practitioner who can show you a completely different way of thinking AND help you get better.

Just a suggestion! You know I hale from the left!
