This is the Byzantine weave. How cool is that??? My biggest problem is with my eyes, being able to see if the rings are actually closed. But this is practice and learning, so I'm not very concerned. Aluminum rings, I wasn't going to buy Sterling silver to learn with, but I am finding this very interesting. I really want to learn how to incorporate beads but I'm in no hurry.

My goodness, you are on a roll! First the spiral weave now the Byzantine. It looks good. Looks like you are enjoying chain maille. It's like knitting, a soothing repetitive task.
Whoo, hoo. You are on a roll. Byzantine has so many nice variations including adding beads. Romanov comes to mind. Try barrel weave next. It uses the same size rings as byzantine.
You are doing a nice job.
