TMI - what do YOU care?!?

I'm not sick.  Just uncomfortable.  There's a clicking in my left ear, kind of like it's trying to unplug in small measured beats.  Except it doesn't seem plugged up.  So . . . something knocking to get out?  Like my little pea brain?

There is the headache that's been there since last night, a stiff neck and some really nasty, heinously disappointing stuff going on since SURPRISE I'm not in menopause after all.  Hell, one can dream, can't one?  But - I had a wonderfully UNeventful  5 month streak goin' on.  That luck I was all about on Thursday?  Gone.

The pap was normal, so was the mammogram, yay.  Important stuff but my head hurts.

Just wanted to say hi.  HI.

Are you feelin' it?  Okay, sinus meds it is.  And maybe a diaper.  I didn't say that, did I?  No, you imagined it, don't worry.

This guy just showed up in my living room. He lumbered right past me, rather like a clumsy teenager who thinks Mom is asleep. Did the cats spot him? Uh . . NO! Ugh-h-h ... I am itchy. I Googled beetles of Illinois because of course Google knows all and I found some pictures that match my hard backed friend. It's some kind of stag beetle but the only ones I saw are from Russia. Okay, I'm late for bed and did not research for long, it was creeping me out. Now I have to make my lunch for tomorrow and go to bed. I'm afraid to look under my covers! I feel like I should curl up in a ball on top of some high Lucite surface and keen all night. Blech!

** Dani - if you notice the bug is under glass. Against my better judgment - I let him go outside. More because he was too big and would make horrifying crunching sounds if I tried to kill him than anything else. But he was alive when he left this house. And now I have the heebie jeebies!

NO - I couldn't sleep yet. I think this is our guy. E-e-e-w-w-w . . !!!!

COMMON KENTUCKY STAG BEETLES

COMMON STAG BEETLE

Common Stag Beetle, male

GENUS: Psuedolucanus
Common Stag Beetles, also called "Pinching Bugs," are the 2nd largest of the stag beetles, after the Elephant Stags. There are four species of pinching bugs in the genus Psuedolucanus, and all are similar in size and appearance. Females of both the common and elephant stag beetles look almost identical, but males can be distinguished by the mandibles, which are considerably smaller in the male common stag beetle. Common stag beetles are reddish brown and grow to be 22-40mm in length. Like most other stag beetles, these beetles eat decaying wood as larvae; the adults eat little or nothing.

Music with my meal would have been better

After a long day at work and attending to these doggone cats the minute I walked in the door, I settled onto the couch with my laptop to figure out what I was going to have for dinner.

Only my 2nd day on Weight Watchers but I have figured out why I think it works as well as it does for so many people. WW is more about what you CAN have, as opposed to what you can’t. You have points to ‘spend’ and what you choose to spend them on is your choice. Nothing is off limits, the question is – do I want to use my points for that?

I was perusing food choices and points values when my son passed behind me and went into the bathroom. Nothing unusual about that, and I continued to debate the idea of something frozen vs. possibly cooking something. You get kind of excited about the idea of getting the most bang for your buck so to speak, in picking your meals.

I will spare you the details of what happened next but suffice it to say – the word vomit does not adequately describe what went on it there.

So I may not be using all of my points today. Somehow eating just doesn’t hold quite the same appeal as it did when I came home.

E-e-w-w.

**Edited to add: Contrary to what Andy thinks - he IS sick. He let me go out to get him some Gatorade. That's proof, he generally doesn't let me take care of him.
